
The young tenor Shane Glabb is an up and coming artist on the Canadian operatic scene. This past summer was highlighted by a series of performances as Gerald in Delibe's LAKME with Summer Opera Lyric Theatre under the direction of Guillermo Silva-Marin. Upcoming performances include the role of Licinio Mureno in the Canadian premiere of Mercadante's LA VESTALE with Opera In Concert and Carl Zeller's The Birdseller with Toronto Operetta theatre.
The beginning of 2009 finds the tenor singing the role of a scholar in Haydn's IL MONDO DELLA LUNA, as well as the role of Letelier in the world premiere of Charles Wilson's KAMOURASKA also with Opera In Concert. Non operatic engagements include Rossini's Petite Messe Solennelle at the Glenn Gould Theatre under the direction of Robert Cooper.
Past highlghts include performances as the tenor soloist in Handel's MESSIAH with the Niagara-on-the-lake sinfonia and Choralis Camerata conducted by Laura Thomas. Shane has also taken part in numerous concerts and recitals of operatic material and song literature.
